Taking a look into the Toddler Room

Taking a look into the Toddler Room

The toddlers are very busy in their room on a daily basis between circle time, activities, dancing, outdoor play and using their imagination when playing. So what do the toddlers get up to when their Mommies and Daddies are not around?

The toddlers enjoy using their imagination and they also look out for each other. We were recently very impressed by the way Zach helped 2 of his friends who had taken a bit of a tumble when they were pretending to be bumper cars and bumped off each other! Zach held out his hand to each of them, helping them to their feet and there wasn’t a tear to be seen.
Mia has also been helping out her friends, literally showing them the ropes in a recent game. Mia was using ropes to swing around the playhouse outside in Crawford Childcare in Glanmire and others tried to copy. Mia said “like this” as she showed them how to get some really good swinging action going. Other children really enjoyed Mia’s game once she showed them how.
While playing hide and seek Ashley covered her eyes and started counting. Seamus ran away but when Ashley counted to ten Seamus ran back to Ashley and fell down laughing which made Ashley laugh also.
Tess had a small fall one day and walked over to Amanda and said, “I need a bag for my chin to fix it”. This refers to an ice pack to help her chin and often works like magic on our toddlers.
We are all so proud of our toddlers who regularly impress us with their creativity, empathy and problem solving skills. It is great to see the start of real friendships forming as their social skills develop!
