In the last few days we have noticed more and more butterflies joining us with our summer crafts. This week the Montessori class at Crawford Childcare Creche, Glanmire painted their face and flapped their wings and enjoyed playing with our new butterfly friends. During the year we looked at caterpillars. It is wonderful to experience the last stage of the butterfly life cycle. We are learning a song to sing to our butterfly friends.

It’s all about glamour in the Toddler room this week as they get crafty making jewellery; necklaces and bracelets. They will add paint and glitter to paper rolls for a touch of bling. This will go nicely with our dress up costumes. You may even see a dinosaur wearing some bling. This activity is great for practicing their fine motor skills and also concentration.
Hallo, Dzien, dia duit from the babyroom. The girls in the babyroom are brushing up on their language skills as they speak Flemish, Polish and Irish to the babies. We are lucky to have so many bi-lingual families attending at Crawford Childcare. They too are learning a new song in Irish which some of the parents may remember from their own school days; Lámh Lámh eile. This will help them become familiar with the names for parts of their body.
Here are the words to help you sing along;
Lámh, lámh eile
Lámh, lámh eile, a haon, a dó,
Cos, cos eile, a haon, a dó.
Ceann, srón, béil, smig,
Agus fiacla bána i mo bhéal istigh.
Súil, súil eile, a haon, a dó,
Cluas, cluas eile, a haon, a dó,
Ceann, srón, béil, smig,
Agus fiacla bána i mo bhéal istigh.
For now bye, Do Widzenia, Tot Zein and slán.
