Summer Camps Begin

Summer Camps Begin

Last week was a busy fun filled week at Crawford Childcare in Cork. Our ECCE pre school year has come to an end which we celebrated with a fabulous performance of songs learned over the year, our graduation ceremony and party. I think we will all be singing our show’s finale Firework for a while courtesy of Katy Perry:

Cause baby you’re a firework
Come on and show them what you’re worth
Make em go, Aah aah aah
As you shoot across the sky-y-y

Baby you’re a firework
Come on and let your colours burst
Make ‘em go, Aah aah aah
You’re gonna leave them all in awe, awe, awe

Well done to all our graduates – we are very proud of you and wish you the best of luck as you make the exciting move to big school. We would love to see you in your uniforms so please do drop in sometime if you are passing and share all your news!

The fun doesn’t stop here though as our Montessori equipment is packed away until September to make way for lots of summer camp activities. Our pre-school camps will be loaded full of sports, physical exercise, arts&crafts and science experiments. Our gazebo will be base camp for what we hope will be largely outdoor activities.

As well as celebrating Siu’s 50th Birthday the toddlers have also been learning about fish. We know lots of types including clown fish, goldfish and blowfish. Some of our toddlers told us they keep fish at home. One of our favourites is a clown fish – just like Nemo and everyone enjoyed puffing out our cheeks like a blowfish. Apparently some of dads and granddads also really like going fishing!

There is a rumour in the baby room that some of the babies are forming a band as there have been a lot of practice sessions recently with the musical instruments. The recent rain also gave as a chance to get messy with some playdough to – great gooey fun!
