The Latest in Crawford

Here at Crawford Childcare Cork, we have been having an Easter Extravaganza over the spring break. Our pre-schoolers made a hopping trail on their Easter hunt. Our children were all transformed into Easter bunnies with a little face paint and special Easter bonnets shaped like rabbit ears. We have even found a few chocolate treats along the way as well as some crunchy carrots!

Easter chicks have been hatching from the hands of our toddlers and babies as they used lots of different materials to make their textured chick crafts. The toddlers love to flap their wings like chickens and sing:

“Chick chick chick chick chicken
Lay a little egg for me
Chick chick chick chick chicken
I want one for my tea
I haven’t had an egg since Easter
And now its half past 3
So chick chick chick chicken
Lay a little egg for me

The warmer weather has meant lots of outdoor time. Please remember to bring in sun cream and sun hats to protect your little ones delicate skin.

Our tractor tyres are filled with plenty of sand and compost to inspire the would be construction workers and gardeners in your children. Other children like to explore the texture of the sand through their fingers while some experiment with filling and emptying containers learning concepts of weight, volume and capacity as they do so. More creative types like to trace designs including shapes and sometimes letters.

We hope you all had a wonderful Easter and that you didn’t eat too much chocolate!
